Bugsy is one of Johto's youngest Gym Leaders, but his expertise in Bug-type Pokémon is genuinely encyclopedic. He studies insect behavior patterns and applies them to battle — understanding molting cycles, metamorphosis timing, and swarm tactics. His Scyther is his primary battler, and he uses String Shot-based trapping strategies to immobilize opponents before striking. He participated in the Gym Leader tournament during the GSC arc.
