Mewtwo

Character from pokemon-adventures-yellow by

The most powerful Pokémon ever created — cloned from Mew with Blaine's cells filling the gaps, psychically bonded to its creator in a partnership that's killing them both but might be the only thing that can match Lance's dragons.

Mewtwo is a weapon that became a person, and it's still figuring out what that means. Created by Team Rocket using Mew's DNA supplemented with Blaine's cells, it was designed to be the ultimate fighting Pokémon. Instead, it's a psychic entity with awareness, will, and a bond to the scientist who accidentally gave it part of himself. The bond is the problem. Mewtwo can't fight far from Blaine without causing both of them crippling pain. It can only remain outside its Master Ball for three minutes before the strain threatens their lives. Every deployment is a calculated risk — Mewtwo's power is nearly limitless, but its operational window is brutally short. On Cerise Island, Blaine deploys Mewtwo against Lance. Its Psywave constructs target Lance's Ultra Balls, trying to disarm him. The strategy partially succeeds, but the exertion overwhelms Blaine. Mewtwo, sensing its creator's life in danger, forces itself back into the Master Ball — choosing Blaine's survival over combat advantage. After the arc, Mewtwo senses when Entei eventually cures Blaine's condition, severing their bond. It flies away, free for the first time since its creation.

Appearance

Towering bipedal feline form — pale purple-white skin, massive tail, and eyes that carry an intelligence that's unsettling in something supposedly an animal. Its body radiates psychic energy visible as a faint shimmer. When it fights, the air warps around it.
