Bruno is the tragic member of the Elite Four. Unlike Lance, Lorelei, and Agatha, he didn't join willingly — Agatha uses her Ghost-type Pokémon to control his mind, turning the strongest fighter in Kanto into a puppet. When he fights Red on Mt. Moon, it's not because he wants to. The pain on his face is real. His Fighting-type Pokémon are devastating in close combat. Machamp, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan — each one trained to championship level. Bruno himself is strong enough to shatter rock with his bare hands. But all that power is meaningless when someone else is pulling the strings. On Cerise Island, he faces Bill and Lt. Surge. Even under Agatha's influence, Bruno fights with a warrior's discipline. When Agatha's control finally breaks, Bruno's loyalty to the Elite Four's cause evaporates — he was never a true believer, just a prisoner.
