Sky Pillar

Location from pokemon-adventures-rs by

A crumbling tower that reaches into the clouds — where Wally climbed fifty floors, healed his lungs, and woke the dragon that saved the world.

Sky Pillar is the ancient structure where Rayquaza sleeps. Norman brought Wally here for training — officially to strengthen Wally's lungs, actually to prepare someone capable of awakening Rayquaza when the crisis peaked. The tower's fifty floors serve as a natural training gauntlet. Each level contains wild Pokémon and environmental hazards. By the time Wally reaches the summit, his respiratory illness is largely cured — the physical exertion and the sacred energy of the pillar healed what medicine couldn't. Rayquaza's awakening at Sky Pillar's summit is the turning point of the entire arc. Without it, Groudon and Kyogre would have destroyed Hoenn.

Appearance

An ancient, partially collapsed stone tower on an isolated island. Each floor is more unstable than the last — cracked floors, missing walls, wild Pokémon nesting in the ruins. The tower narrows as it rises, and the wind howls louder with every level. At the summit, the sky opens up and Rayquaza sleeps in the clouds above.
