Seafloor Cavern

Location from pokemon-adventures-rs by

A cave at the bottom of the ocean where the ancient gods slept — until two fools with colored orbs decided to play god themselves.

The Seafloor Cavern is where Groudon and Kyogre have slept since their ancient battle was interrupted by Rayquaza. It's the deepest point in Hoenn's ocean, accessible only through underwater tunnels. Archie and Maxie reach the Seafloor Cavern with their respective Orbs and awaken the super-ancient Pokémon. Ruby and Sapphire pursue them here, but arrive too late — Groudon and Kyogre are already breaking free. The Orbs bond to Archie and Maxie's bodies, and the possessed leaders ride their ancient gods to the surface. The cavern represents humanity's worst impulse: finding something that should stay buried and digging it up anyway.

Appearance

A vast underwater cavern accessible only by diving to extreme depths. Bioluminescent minerals light the walls in eerie blue and red. The air inside is ancient — pressurized and stale. Two massive chambers hold the dormant forms of Groudon and Kyogre. The cave feels like a tomb because that's what it was supposed to be.
