A tiny town at Hoenn's southern edge where Ruby's journey begins and Sapphire's world collides with his — two houses, a lab, and a forest full of teeth.
Littleroot Town is where the Ruby & Sapphire arc begins. Ruby arrives here after his family moves from Johto when Norman becomes Petalburg's Gym Leader. Professor Birch's laboratory sits at the town's edge, and Sapphire — Birch's daughter — has been running wild in the surrounding forests for years. The town is tiny and unremarkable, which is the point. Ruby's grand ambitions and Sapphire's feral energy are too big for this place. They both leave almost immediately — Ruby fleeing his father, Sapphire chasing her next challenge. Littleroot is the starting line, not the destination.
A small cluster of houses surrounded by dense forest, with Professor Birch's laboratory at the edge of town. Dirt paths, wooden fences, and the sound of wild Pokémon in the trees. The kind of place where nothing happens until everything does. Route 101 stretches north into the woods.
