A mountain town built around hot springs and volcanic heat — Flannery's Gym sits at the foot of Mt. Chimney, where Team Magma made their first move.
Lavaridge Town is Flannery's Gym town, built on the volcanic activity of Mt. Chimney. Team Aqua attempted to stop Mt. Chimney's volcanic activity as part of their ocean-expansion agenda, drawing the attention of both Sapphire and Team Magma. Sapphire earns the Heat Badge by defeating Flannery here. The town's hot springs and volcanic foundations make it a symbolic location — built literally on top of the geological forces that Groudon represents.
A small town nestled against the base of Mt. Chimney. Steam rises from natural hot springs throughout the town. The air smells of sulfur and mineral water. Flannery's Fire-type Gym is heated by geothermal vents. The town is warm, peaceful, and completely unaware of the geological nightmare building beneath it.
