An ancient artifact that links its wielder to Kyogre — a beautiful blue sphere that drowns the mind of anyone who touches it in oceanic will.

The Blue Orb is the counterpart to the Red Orb, designed to create a sympathetic bond with Kyogre. Stored at Mt. Pyre alongside the Red Orb for centuries, it was stolen by Team Aqua. Archie used it to awaken Kyogre, and like Maxie with the Red Orb, he was consumed by it. The Blue Orb possesses Archie, channeling Kyogre's primordial ocean consciousness through his body. The orb bonds physically to him, becoming impossible to separate. Later, the Blue Orb enters Sapphire's body, and she carries it through the crisis. Both Orbs were originally created as components of an ancient system for managing the balance between land and sea. That system was never designed for human use.

Appearance

A deep blue sphere that seems to contain an entire ocean in miniature. Cool to the touch — then cold, then freezing. The surface ripples like water despite being solid. When active, it glows with the blue-white light of deep ocean bioluminescence.
