Sapphire's Aggron — an armored fortress of a Pokémon that evolved from a wild Aron she befriended, the tank of her team.
Rono was one of Sapphire's first Pokémon — an Aron she befriended in the wild. He evolved through Lairon during their journey and reached Aggron form on Mirage Island during pre-crisis training. Steel/Rock typing makes him an absolute wall in battle. Rono is Sapphire's anchor. Where Chic is speed and fire, Rono is weight and steel. He provides ground transport, defensive coverage, and the kind of physical presence that makes opponents reconsider their life choices. He fights the way Sapphire wishes she could — immovably, unapologetically, taking hits and giving them back harder.
A massive Aggron in steel-grey armor plating. Towers over most humans and Pokémon alike. Moves with the deliberate, ground-shaking weight of something that knows it doesn't need to dodge. Sapphire rides on his back for ground travel.
