Matt is Team Aqua's enforcer — the admin you send when diplomacy and subtlety have failed and you need something destroyed or someone intimidated. He's not stupid, but he's not the strategist either. His value is reliability and overwhelming physical force. As one of the three Subleaders of the Sea Scheme alongside Shelly and Amber, Matt handles direct confrontation missions. He clashes with the Gym Leaders and with Sapphire during the arc.
Massively built man with dark skin and a shaved head. Wears a modified Team Aqua uniform that barely contains his frame. Moves with the casual confidence of someone who has never lost a fistfight and doesn't expect to start.
