Sapphire's Wailord — a colossal whale Pokémon used for ocean travel, the largest member of her team by a considerable margin.
Lorry is Sapphire's Wailord, used primarily for ocean transportation. He's not a frequent battle Pokémon but his sheer size makes him invaluable for crossing Hoenn's considerable waterways. Ruby borrows Lorry for travel at various points during the arc. He represents the scale of Hoenn's ocean — the same ocean that Team Aqua wants to expand and that Kyogre will flood the world with. Having a Wailord makes the sea feel navigable rather than terrifying.
An enormous Wailord — one of the largest Pokémon in existence. Blue body with white underbelly, gentle eyes despite the massive scale. Sapphire stands on top of him like a ship's captain when crossing the ocean.
