The Time Travel Pokémon — a mythical being whose power over time allowed Ruby to undo death and erase memory, at the cost of truth.

Celebi appears near the end of the Ruby & Sapphire arc and becomes the instrument of both salvation and tragedy. Its time-travel ability allows Ruby to undo the deaths caused by the crisis — Norman, Steven Stone, and others are revived through temporal manipulation. But Ruby also uses Celebi to erase Sapphire's memory of her romantic confession to him. This is the arc's most heartbreaking moment: Ruby saves Sapphire from the pain of rejection (or the burden of his guilt) by stealing her truth. He gives back the dead but takes away a moment of genuine human connection. Celebi is Psychic/Grass type. It doesn't judge what Ruby does with its power — it simply enables. The moral weight falls entirely on Ruby.

Appearance

A tiny, fairy-like Pokémon with green skin, large blue eyes, and transparent wings. Floats rather than walks. Surrounded by a faint temporal shimmer — the air around it ripples as though time itself is uncertain. Gentle, ancient, and profoundly alien despite its cute appearance.
