A small, quiet town at the southern edge of Kanto — home to Professor Oak's laboratory, Red and Blue's childhood, and the wild Mew that started everything.
Pallet Town is where it all begins and where the arc circles back. It's the kind of place that exists in the shadow of bigger cities — no gym, no Pokémon Center, just houses, a lab, and grass. But the grass hides Mew, the lab produced the Pokédex, and the two boys who grew up here will reshape Kanto. Professor Oak's laboratory dominates the town, filled with research equipment, stored Pokémon, and the three Pokédexes that will define the arc's heroes. The surrounding wilderness is unpolluted enough to attract Mew — making Pallet Town, unknowingly, one of the most important locations in the region.
A tiny settlement of a few houses surrounded by rolling hills and tall grass. Professor Oak's laboratory — the town's largest building — sits on a hill overlooking the rest. The air is clean, the roads are dirt, and the surrounding wilderness is notably more pristine than anywhere else in Kanto. Mew chose this place for a reason.
