Thu-Fi-Zer (a portmanteau of Thunder, Fire, and Freezer — the Japanese names of the three legendary birds) is the arc's final antagonist in physical form. Created when Team Rocket activated the Badge Energy Amplifier at Silph Co., it represents the ultimate corruption of nature: three independent legendary beings forced into a single weapon. Green unknowingly activated the device, having been tricked into believing it served a different purpose. Her guilt over creating the monster drives her to fight alongside Red and Blue to destroy it — the first time all three Pokédex holders work as a unified team. Defeating Thu-Fi-Zer required the combined efforts of all three trainers and their full teams. The battle in the skies above Saffron City is the arc's largest set piece — a three-front aerial battle against a creature with the combined powers of lightning, ice, and fire. Its destruction scattered Team Rocket and freed the three legendary birds from their forced fusion.
A horrific fusion of three legendary birds into a single entity — lightning crackling across frozen wings wreathed in fire. The chimera has no natural form; it's three creatures forced into one body, and the visual wrongness is deliberate. Each section of its body reflects a different bird — electric yellow, icy blue, fiery orange — merged at unnatural seams.
