The Tin Tower was Ho-Oh's roost; the Burned Tower housed the three beasts before they were freed. Carl's Piloswine destroyed the Tin Tower, causing an earthquake that devastated the city — one of the arc's most shocking moments. The destruction of Ecruteak's sacred landmark escalates the conflict from personal to civilizational: the Masked Man isn't just threatening people, he's destroying history.
