Will and Karen exploit her childhood trauma — her terror of bird Pokémon — by attacking her with Ho-Oh and Lugia at Ilex Forest. But Green overcomes her phobia in a pivotal moment, revealing she has captured Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. Together with Red and Blue, she uses the legendary birds to free Ho-Oh and Lugia from the Masked Man's control. Green placed the Silver Wing and Rainbow Wing on Yellow's hat — feathers whose true nature was hidden until the climax, when they became essential to pursuing Pryce into the time stream.
