Character from pokemon-adventures-gsc by
A reckless, gambling-obsessed Pokémon breeder from New Bark Town who shoots Poké Balls with a billiard cue and hatches eggs mid-battle — even more stubborn than Red, and twice as loud about it.
Gold grew up in the 'Poké House' — his family home in New Bark Town, overflowing with baby Pokémon his mother breeds. He learned to hatch and raise Pokémon before he learned to sit still. His special skill, as designated by Professor Oak, is hatching: he's the 'Hatcher,' capable of drawing out the maximum potential of newborn Pokémon and bringing eggs to life through sheer warmth of personality. He uses a billiard cue to launch Poké Balls with trick-shot precision — banking them off walls, curving them around obstacles, deploying multiple Pokémon simultaneously. His hobbies include gambling, skateboarding, and trying foods from every city he visits. He lies constantly, exaggerates everything, and has a one-track mind regarding attractive women. But beneath the chaos is someone who genuinely cares. Gold chases Silver not because he was asked to, but because he saw something wrong and couldn't walk away. He earns Silver's respect not through power but through sheer refusal to give up. When the Masked Man's identity is revealed, Gold is the one who tears off the mask — literally and figuratively. His Pichu, Pibu, hatched from the egg of Red's Pikachu and Yellow's Chuchu, defeats Pryce with Super Rising Thunder.
A teenage boy with spiky black hair under a backwards yellow-and-black cap, golden eyes, and a perpetual grin. Wears a red hoodie over a black shirt, shorts, and sneakers. Goggles perch on his cap. Carries a billiard cue as his signature tool — not a weapon, a deployment system. Rides a collapsible scooter. Moves like someone who has never once considered the consequences of anything.
