The Time Travel Pokémon — the prize Pryce spent decades pursuing, capable of moving through time, hidden in the Ilex Forest Shrine.
Celebi is the Grass/Psychic legendary that inhabits the Ilex Forest Shrine, capable of traveling through time. It is the Masked Man's ultimate target — every atrocity Pryce committed was to reach this single Pokémon. He needed the GS Ball (forged from Ho-Oh's Rainbow Wing and Lugia's Silver Wing using Kurt's stolen plans) to capture it. At the climax, Pryce captures Celebi at the Ilex Forest Shrine and escapes into the time stream. Gold, Silver, and Crystal pursue him using the feathers from Yellow's hat. When the GS Ball is destroyed, Pryce becomes trapped in the voids of time. Celebi's final act is compassionate — it sends Pryce memories of his lost Lapras, allowing him to experience the reunion he destroyed everything to achieve, even if only as a vision.
A small fairy-like Pokémon with a green body, large blue eyes, and translucent wings. Floats gently, surrounded by a soft glow of temporal energy. Tiny and fragile-looking — yet it holds the power to rewrite history. When it moves through time, the air shimmers like heat haze.
