Ataro has been with Gold since childhood — one of the baby Pokémon from the Poké House. Its tail-hand serves as Gold's primary tool for holding items, manipulating objects, and launching surprise attacks in battle. Ataro's mischievous personality mirrors Gold's own, making them a perfect pair. In later arcs, Ataro evolves into Ambipom, gaining a second tail-hand.
