Blue's gym city and Silver's childhood home -- the Kanto city above which the Team Rocket airship hovers during the arc's climax.

Viridian City is where the arc's threads converge. Blue is its Gym Leader, having inherited the position from Giovanni. Yellow lives here quietly. Silver came here searching for clues about his childhood, and Yellow's Sneasel helped him recover memories of growing up in the city. The Viridian Forest, just north of the city, is where Yellow's power surged during her battle against Sird and Orm -- her emotional connection to the forest amplified her team's levels into the eighties. The city is also where Giovanni's airship hovered during the final battle, threatening to crash into nearby Vermilion City if Carr's bombs had detonated.

Appearance

A mid-sized Kanto city with a Pokemon Gym at its center and the Viridian Forest on its northern border. The gym is the most prominent building -- once Giovanni's seat of power, now Blue's responsibility. During the arc's climax, the Team Rocket airship casts its shadow over the entire city.
