The hidden island where Deoxys retreated to heal -- a sanctuary that became a trap when Giovanni found it.
Birth Island does not appear on standard maps. It is where Organism No. 2 fled after Pika's Thunder attack wounded it, retreating to heal and complete its growth in isolation. The Deoxys encased itself in a Delta Shield -- a crystalline pyramid of defensive energy -- and waited. Giovanni tracked it here. Using Beedrill's speed to approach and Aggron's Brick Break to shatter the Delta Shield, he captured the weakened Deoxys. The island's remoteness, which should have been Deoxys's greatest protection, meant that no one was coming to help. Birth Island represents the arc's central tragedy: a creature born from cosmic accident, trying to heal in solitude, destroyed by a man who saw it only as a weapon.
A tiny, barren island with almost no vegetation. At its center stands a triangular black obelisk -- the external manifestation of Deoxys's Delta Shield, a pyramid of Reflect and Light Screen energy. The island feels wrong -- the air is charged, the sea around it unnaturally still. Nothing lives here except Deoxys.
