Red's Venusaur -- the Pokemon that learned Frenzy Plant from Ultima, making it one of three keystones in the plan to free Mewtwo.
Saur has been Red's Grass-type anchor since it was a Bulbasaur in Pallet Town. In this arc, Ultima's training on Two Island unlocked Frenzy Plant -- the ultimate Grass-type move. When Giovanni trapped Mewtwo in the M2 Bind, Saur's Frenzy Plant was one of three simultaneous ultimate attacks (with Blue's Blast Burn and Green's Hydro Cannon) that shattered the restraints.
A massive Venusaur with a fully bloomed flower on its back, battle scars across its hide, and an implacable presence. Its vines are thick and powerful. The Frenzy Plant technique manifests as enormous thorned roots erupting from the ground.
