The Okumura family estate. Haru grew up here under her father's controlling ambitions — a gilded cage that defines her arc of self-liberation.
The Okumura residence projects the aesthetic of the Okumura Foods brand: clean, controlled, aspirational. Kunikazu Okumura made business decisions here and called them family decisions. Haru's arranged marriage to Sugimura was negotiated in a room off the entry hall. The garden is where Haru retreated when conversations became impossible. She grew vegetables in a corner of it — an act that was half hobby, half small rebellion. After her father's murder and the unraveling of Shido's conspiracy, the house becomes a different kind of weight. Haru learns to carry what was left to her and decide what it means.
A large traditional-adjacent property in an upscale residential ward. High walls with a security gate. Well-maintained garden visible from the entrance. The interior is formal — reception rooms designed for meetings more than living. Haru's private room is the one space that feels inhabited.
