The Bank of Gluttony. Junya Kaneshiro's distortion transforms Shibuya into a massive floating bank in the sky — an expression of seeing all people as sources of extractable wealth.
The Bank of Gluttony operates as a literal money machine: people are sorted, processed, and depleted. Kaneshiro's distortion sees human beings as accounts to be drained — and in his Palace, they function exactly that way. The bank's bureaucracy is labyrinthine by design; confusion protects the vault. Makoto Niijima's forced involvement in the target selection — she discovered the Phantom Thieves' identities and leveraged it — makes this heist personal for her. Her cognition of herself as useless breaks here. The Treasure is a safe stuffed with casino chips: wealth as an end in itself, insatiable.
A massive vault-and-tower structure floating above a cloud layer. Access via a glass bridge that extends from a rooftop in the real Shibuya. Marble floors, steel security doors, teller windows staffed by Shadows. Kaneshiro's face decorates the currency. The safe rooms are deep underground — below the clouds, below logic.
