The Pyramid of Wrath. Futaba Sakura's self-hatred manifests as an Egyptian tomb — built to bury herself. The only Palace whose ruler wants to be saved.
Futaba built this Palace herself, from the inside out. It is not an expression of desire for power or wealth — it is a monument to guilt. After her mother's death, which she was manipulated into believing she caused, Futaba's self-punishment took the shape of a prison. She lived in Leblanc's attic for months and constructed, in the Metaverse, an edifice dedicated to her own burial. The Phantom Thieves enter at her request — she cannot change herself without help, but she is aware enough to ask. Shadow Futaba, her buried self, is not a villain. She is a child asking to be seen. The Treasure is a tablet containing Wakaba Isshiki's final message.
An enormous sandstone pyramid rising from a red desert under a twin moon sky. The exterior is carved with hieroglyphs that, on closer reading, are self-condemning proclamations. Inside: narrow passages, false floors, traps designed to keep people in rather than out. The inner sanctum is a sarcophagus room — Futaba's cognitive tomb.
