The grappling hook expands the verticality of Palace navigation. In stealth mode, it allows the team to bypass patrol routes by taking elevated paths that Shadows don't use. It creates a consistent tension in dungeon design: every high ledge and suspended platform becomes a question of route. The hook is one of the elements that makes Joker feel like a Phantom Thief rather than a conventional RPG hero — he moves through space like someone who studied the architecture in advance. In combat it enables ambushes from above. The tool upgrades with Joker's abilities across the game.
