Item from Persona 5 Royal by Atlus
Joker's initial Persona — the gentleman thief Arsène Lupin. A rebel against injustice made flesh, emerging when Joker refused to submit to his false conviction.
Arsène is not a combat Persona — he is a declaration. When Joker awakens to him in Kamoshida's dungeon, tearing the mask from his face and bleeding for it, Arsène answers not because Joker is powerful but because he refuses to comply. The Persona system in Persona 5 is rebellion externalized: the mask is torn away, not put on. Arsène embodies the philosophy — the gentleman thief who steals from the corrupt, who operates outside unjust law, who leaves a calling card. As a first Persona he becomes obsolete quickly in gameplay, but the game is careful to keep him symbolically central. His imagery is on loading screens, promotional art, and the final confrontation.
A tall figure in a Victorian black tailcoat with crimson accents and white gloves. A wide-brimmed hat. Wings of dark feather. A theatrical, defiant silhouette — everything Joker is not allowed to be in the real world, given physical form.
