Character from Persona 5 Royal by Atlus
The only Palace ruler who wanted to be defeated — Futaba's Shadow called the Phantom Thieves to save the girl trapped inside her own tomb.
Shadow Futaba is unique in Persona 5: she's not an enemy. She's the part of Futaba that wants to live, reaching out through the cognitive world to beg for rescue. While Futaba's conscious mind is consumed by guilt and suicidal ideation, her Shadow — her true self — sends the calling card to the Phantom Thieves using the alias 'Alibaba.' Her existence reframes the entire Palace mechanic. Palaces aren't just prisons built by distortion — they can also be cries for help. Futaba's awakening happens when she confronts her Shadow and accepts her, rather than the Thieves stealing a Treasure by force.
Identical to Futaba but with glowing yellow eyes — the telltale sign of a Shadow self. Wears ancient Egyptian garb and speaks with more confidence and clarity than the real Futaba can manage. Surrounded by the golden light of the Pyramid of Wrath.
