A mysterious child wandering Mementos collecting flowers — he studies humanity because he doesn't understand why people choose to suffer.
José is an enigma wrapped in a child's body. He lives in Mementos, trades items with the Phantom Thieves, and asks questions about human nature with the innocent intensity of someone who genuinely doesn't understand emotions. He can alter Mementos' cognition — changing enemy difficulty and item drops — which implies a power level nobody acknowledges. He seems to exist outside the normal rules of the Metaverse. Royal never fully explains what he is, which makes him one of the game's most intriguing loose threads.
Small and childlike with pale skin, white hair, and wide curious eyes. Wears a blue hat and overalls. Drives a small cart through Mementos' corridors, collecting star-shaped flowers. Looks completely out of place in the subway depths.
