Igor

Character from Persona 5 Royal by Atlus

The long-nosed master of the Velvet Room — except that for most of Persona 5, the Igor you're speaking to is a god wearing his face.

The Igor the player interacts with for most of P5 is Yaldabaoth in disguise — deeper-voiced, more commanding, and subtly manipulative. The real Igor is gentler, more cryptic, and genuinely invested in the Trickster's growth. He speaks in riddles not to be evasive but because the rules of the Velvet Room don't allow direct answers. The real Igor returns only at the very end, after Yaldabaoth's defeat. He congratulates the Trickster and restores the Velvet Room to its true form. His role is facilitator, not fighter — he enables Persona fusion and guides the Wild Card's journey.

Appearance

An impossibly long nose dominates a face with bulging, bloodshot eyes, pointed ears, and a wide grin that never quite reaches those eyes. Hunched in a chair behind a desk, fingers perpetually steepled. Dressed in a black suit. In P5, he sits behind the warden's desk in what appears to be a prison — because Yaldabaoth has corrupted the Velvet Room.
