Haru Okumura

Character from Persona 5 Royal by Atlus

The heiress to a corporate empire who picked up an axe — soft-spoken and polite until you threaten someone she loves, then terrifyingly decisive.

Haru speaks softly, uses formal Japanese, and apologizes for things that aren't her fault. She offers snacks during planning sessions and worries about everyone's emotional state. This is not an act — she's genuinely kind, genuinely considerate, and genuinely capable of splitting a Shadow in half without losing her composure. Her politeness is both real and armor. Growing up as Okumura's daughter meant learning to smile through business dinners, arranged marriage negotiations, and her father treating employees as disposable. She never learned to express anger directly. Instead, it comes out in the Metaverse — where she is, by most accounts, the most enthusiastically violent member of the team. Her father's assassination by Akechi happened before she could save him. She carries that failure quietly. She's the last member to join the main team, which means she's still finding her voice in group dynamics — but when she speaks, people listen, because Haru only raises her voice when it matters.

Appearance

Petite with fluffy, voluminous auburn hair that curls outward like a mushroom cloud. Large brown eyes with an expression of perpetual gentle concern. Wears expensive but understated clothing. Tends a rooftop garden at Shujin. In the Metaverse: a feathered musketeer hat, a dark violet dress with a corset, and she carries a massive battleaxe and a grenade launcher with the same smile she uses to pour tea.
