New Rome

Location from Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan

A miniature Roman city inside Camp Jupiter — where demigods retire, go to college, and live normal lives after their service. It's the future Camp Half-Blood doesn't offer.

New Rome is the Roman answer to the question 'what happens to demigods who survive?' Greek demigods either die young or live in the mortal world pretending to be normal. Roman demigods can retire to New Rome, attend the University of New Rome, and build actual lives — coffee shops, bookstores, families, careers. The architecture is classical Roman updated for California sunshine, with aqueducts running alongside modern plumbing. It's the most humane thing either camp offers, and it represents the possibility that a demigod's story doesn't have to end in a blaze of glory.

Appearance

A small but complete Roman city with forums, temples, shops, coffee houses, and a university. The architecture is classical Roman updated for California weather. It's idyllic and slightly surreal — a functioning ancient city in the Bay Area.
