Canoe Lake

Location from Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan

The lake at Camp Half-Blood — where Percy first controlled water, where couples watch fireworks, and where naiads gossip about campers' love lives.

Canoe Lake is Percy's personal power source at camp — he first discovered his water-control abilities here when the lake responded to his emotions and drenched Clarisse during a fight. It's also where the camp's social life happens: couples sit by the lake watching fireworks on the Fourth of July, naiads spread rumors from beneath the surface, and the fireworks beach hosts the most important romantic scenes in the series. Percy and Annabeth's underwater kiss was narrated by the naiads to every aquatic creature in Long Island Sound, because privacy means nothing to water spirits.

Appearance

A clear freshwater lake surrounded by reeds and forest. Naiads live in it and surface occasionally to flirt with campers or deliver messages. The fireworks beach nearby is the traditional spot for romantic moments.
