The Arena

Location from Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan

Camp Half-Blood's combat training facility — where demigods learn to sword-fight, and where Percy first picked up Riptide.

The arena is where every camper learns to fight — and where Percy discovered he was naturally gifted with a sword thanks to Poseidon's blood running through his veins. The sand floor is permanently stained with monster dust and ichor. Weapon racks line the walls, stocked with celestial bronze swords, spears, shields, and javelins. Training here is mandatory because demigods who can't fight don't survive their first quest, and the sound of clashing bronze echoes across the valley from dawn until the dinner conch blows every evening.

Appearance

An open-air arena with sand floor, weapon racks, and training dummies. It looks like a Greek coliseum scaled for teenagers. The weapon racks hold everything from celestial bronze swords to spears to shields.

Also known as: the Arena, the sword arena
