The Helm of Darkness was forged by the Cyclopes during the Titan War — along with Zeus's bolt and Poseidon's trident, it's one of the three great weapons of the Big Three. It grants both invisibility and fear projection, making Hades the god you can't see and can't stop being afraid of. It was stolen during The Lightning Thief alongside the Master Bolt, as part of Kronos's plan to start a divine civil war.
A dark Corinthian-style Greek helmet that seems to absorb light. When worn, the wearer becomes invisible and surrounded by an aura of death and fear. Shadows deepen, temperatures drop, and even gods feel uneasy.
