The Golden Fleece

Item from Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan

The mythological Golden Fleece — it heals anything it's draped over. Percy retrieved it from Polyphemus to save Thalia's tree, and it accidentally brought Thalia back to life.

The Golden Fleece heals anything — trees, magical borders, poisoned people, broken wards. It radiates warm golden energy that smells like fresh grass and summer sunshine, and its glow intensifies in darkness as if responding to the presence of things that need mending. Percy and crew retrieved it from Polyphemus's island in the Sea of Monsters to cure Thalia's poisoned tree. It worked too well: it healed the tree so thoroughly that Thalia herself was revived from within it, emerging alive after years as bark and pine needles. Now it hangs on Thalia's Pine, guarded by the dragon Peleus, powering Camp Half-Blood's defensive borders against every monster that prowls Long Island.

Appearance

A shimmering golden sheepskin that radiates warm, healing energy. When draped over Thalia's Pine at camp, it strengthened the tree's magical borders. It glows brighter in darkness and smells like fresh grass and sunshine.
