Zoë Nightshade

Character from Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan

Lieutenant of the Hunters of Artemis — a three-thousand-year-old warrior who spoke in archaic English and died fighting her own father to save Artemis.

Zoë was Atlas's daughter who turned against her father and the Titans to help Hercules (who then abandoned her). She joined Artemis's Hunters and served as lieutenant for millennia. She died on the quest to rescue Artemis, killed by her father Atlas's poison. Artemis placed her among the stars as the constellation the Huntress. She is the series' most tragic hero — three thousand years of loyal service ended by the father she defied.

Appearance

Dark hair, volcanic black eyes, and copper skin. She wore the silver circlet and parka of the Hunters and carried an ancient bow. She spoke formally because she learned English centuries before modern slang existed.

Also known as: Zoë, Zoë Nightshade
