Kronos

Character from Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan

Lord of the Titans — the father who ate his own children and tried to destroy Olympus. He used Luke as a host body and nearly won because the gods' worst enemy was their own neglect.

Kronos ate his children to prevent the prophecy of his overthrow. Zeus cut them out and led the Titans' fall. Three thousand years later, Kronos rose again by exploiting the one thing the gods couldn't fix: their failure as parents. He recruited demigods like Luke by offering what the gods wouldn't — acknowledgment, purpose, and revenge. He's terrifying not because he's powerful (he is) but because his argument is correct: the gods ARE terrible parents, the system IS broken, and the demigods ARE right to be angry. His solution — destroying everything — is wrong. But his diagnosis is perfect.

Appearance

In his true form: a massive figure of swirling golden energy, time distorting around him. Through Luke: golden eyes replacing blue, movements too fluid and ancient for a teenager's body. He carries a scythe that can reap mortal souls.

Also known as: Kronos, Saturn, Lord of Time, the Crooked One
