Jason Grace

Character from Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan

Son of Jupiter, raised Roman — a golden boy leader who was traded between camps by Hera as a peace token. He spent his life being what everyone expected and never figured out who he actually was.

Jason was stolen from his mortal mother as a toddler and raised by Lupa the wolf goddess to be a Roman warrior. He became praetor of Camp Jupiter through discipline, courage, and the kind of natural leadership that makes people follow you without questioning it. He was everything Roman demigods aspire to be. Hera swapped his memory and dropped him at Camp Half-Blood as part of her plan to unite the Greek and Roman camps. The experience of being stripped of his identity and building a new one changed him — he went from being defined by duty to questioning what he actually wanted. He died in the Trials of Apollo, sacrificed fighting Caligula, because he finally found something worth dying for on his own terms rather than Rome's.

Appearance

Blond hair cropped short in a Roman military cut, blue eyes, and a small scar on his lip from trying to eat a stapler as a baby (before his wolf-lupa training). He wears a toga praetexta over combat armor when at Camp Jupiter and looks every inch the Roman centurion. He carries Ivlivs — a golden coin that becomes either a gladius or a javelin depending on the flip.
