Character from Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan
Titan of the East and Light — one of the first Titans to reform and fight in the Second Titan War. Percy defeated him by turning him into a tree.
Hyperion fought Percy in Central Park during the Battle of Manhattan, blazing with golden light that scorched the grass around him and set nearby trees smoldering. Percy, channeling the full power of the East River, created a personal hurricane and trapped Hyperion in a prison of water and vegetation — turning a Titan of light into a maple tree. It's one of Percy's most creative victories, and Hyperion's rage still burns inside that tree in Central Park, where tourists take photos completely unaware they're standing next to an imprisoned ancient god.
A towering figure wreathed in golden light, with armor that blazes like the sun. He radiates heat and light intense enough to burn mortals at close range.
