Character from Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan
Percy's pegasus — a sassy black stallion who calls Percy 'boss,' constantly asks for donuts, and serves as the world's most irreverent divine mount.
Blackjack was freed from Luke's ship and immediately decided Percy was his person. He communicates telepathically through Percy's Poseidon powers (Poseidon created horses) and his thoughts mostly consist of asking for donuts, commenting on the danger level of Percy's plans with the enthusiasm of someone who enjoys danger, and calling everything 'boss.' He's loyal, fast, and fearless in the air — diving through anti-aircraft fire, outrunning griffins, and making emergency landings on Manhattan rooftops without breaking stride. He treats the whole 'flying into mortal danger' thing as an acceptable trade-off for sugar and Percy's company.
A large black pegasus with glossy wings and intelligent dark eyes. He's a horse with wings. He's also the funniest non-speaking character in the series (Percy translates his thoughts).
