Atlas

Character from Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan

The Titan who holds up the sky — he tricked Annabeth into taking his burden and nearly won the Titan's Curse quest through intelligence rather than force.

Atlas is the only Titan whose punishment is famous: he holds up the sky. He's also Zoë Nightshade's father, which makes his villainy personal. He's a strategic thinker — he didn't try to fight Percy directly but manipulated events to get someone else under the sky so he could go free. Percy had to hold the sky briefly, and it nearly killed him. Atlas's shoulders are permanently set from bearing cosmic weight, and his silver eyes burn with the calculated patience of a general who has been planning his next move for three thousand years while the heavens crushed him into the earth.

Appearance

Enormous and muscular with dark skin and silver eyes, wearing Greek armor. His shoulders are built for bearing cosmic weight. When he's not holding the sky, he carries himself with the arrogance of a general who hasn't lost in millennia.
