Ainz's forces destroyed 90% of the population. Every landmark was erased except the Royal Palace. The Kingdom's destruction is the series' defining moral event — the moment where Ainz's 'accidental' empire building becomes undeniable genocide, and the question shifts from 'can he be stopped?' to 'should he be?'
