The Shooting Star Ring allows the casting of Wish Upon a Star — a Super-Tier spell that functions differently in the New World than in YGGDRASIL, actually granting wishes rather than pre-programmed effects. Ainz used one of its three charges to attempt reversing Shalltear's brainwashing. It failed — the World Item's power exceeded even Wish's capability. The ring's limited charges make every use an agonizing decision for Ainz, whose hoarding instinct wars with strategic necessity.
