Character from Overlord by Kugane Maruyama
A paladin squire with terrifying eyes who became the Sorcerer King's most devoted evangelist — killed and resurrected by Ainz, she now leads a religion preaching 'the Sorcerer King is justice and weakness is a sin.'
Neia's transformation from nervous squire to fanatical evangelist is Overlord's most insidious conversion story. Born with her father's fierce 'criminal eyes,' she was socially isolated from childhood. When assigned as Ainz's personal guard during the Holy Kingdom liberation, his rational leadership, genuine (accidental) kindness, and overwhelming power filled every void in her life. She watched him mercifully kill a hostage child to save a village. She watched him gift her equipment when her own country's priests demanded she surrender it. She was killed defending a wall and resurrected by True Resurrection — the ultimate proof of his 'justice.' Author Maruyama notes her mental state is 'quite unstable' and that Ainz could turn her into an obedient pawn 'almost unintentionally.' She now possesses an unconscious brainwashing ability that saves traumatized people from despair by converting them to her faith. Her religion has spread across the Northern Holy Kingdom; her personal seal appeared on the Sorcerer Kingdom's war declaration against Re-Estize.
Young teenage girl with short blonde hair and beady black eyes slanted upward, creating a permanent glare. Dark circles around her eyes make people assume she associates with criminals. Wears Buser's green turtle-shell armor (gift from Ainz), a reddish cape, and a visor that completely obscures her intimidating eyes. Carries the Ultimate Shooting Star Super bow lent by the Sorcerer King.
