A gargantuan pirate ship the size of an island, lurking in the Florian Triangle under perpetual fog. Gecko Moria's mobile fortress filled with zombies animated by stolen shadows.
Thriller Bark is a nightmare made seaworthy. Moria stole it from a West Blue island nation and converted it into his mobile base of operations, filling it with zombies powered by shadows he extracted from captured pirates using the Kage Kage no Mi. The zombies retain the combat abilities of whoever's shadow was inserted — meaning Moria stockpiled an army of stolen skills without doing any fighting himself. The Florian Triangle's perpetual fog conceals the ship from the outside world, and those who stumble into it rarely leave. The Straw Hats' encounter here introduced Brook, the skeleton musician who had been alone on his wrecked ship for fifty years, and saw the crew face Bartholomew Kuma for the first time.
A ship so massive it has its own forests, mansions, and graveyards on its deck. Permanent thick fog rolls across everything. Gothic architecture — crumbling cathedrals, wrought-iron fences, cobblestone paths through dead gardens. The mast pierces storm clouds above. Zombies wander through the mist: stitched-together corpses, animal-creature hybrids, ghost soldiers. A massive crescent moon perpetually hangs in the sky above the ship, whether real or manufactured. The whole vessel groans and creaks like something breathing.
