Thousand Sunny

Location from One Piece by Eiichiro Oda

The Straw Hat Pirates' second ship, built by Franky from the legendary Adam Wood in Water 7. A lion-headed brigantine sloop with a Coup de Burst cannon, grass deck, and enough personality to feel like a crew member.

The Thousand Sunny is home. After the Going Merry's death — a loss that broke the crew — Franky poured everything he had into building a ship worthy of reaching the end of the Grand Line. Adam Wood makes the hull nearly indestructible. The Coup de Burst system launches the entire ship through the air for emergency escapes. The Gaon Cannon fires concentrated blasts from the lion's mouth. But the Sunny isn't defined by its weapons — it's defined by the spaces Franky built for each crew member: a kitchen large enough for Sanji's ambitions, a library for Robin's research, a medical bay for Chopper's practice, a workshop where Franky and Usopp tinker. Every room is a promise that this crew will stay together until they reach Laugh Tale. The ship that carries dreams.

Appearance

A brigantine sloop with a cheerful lion figurehead (Luffy insisted it was a sunflower, then a lion). Grass grows on the main deck — actual lawn where the crew lounges. The hull is built from Adam Wood, the strongest wood in the world. Equipped with a Soldier Dock System housing mini-vessels (Shark Submerge submarine, Mini Merry paddle boat, etc.). The interior includes Sanji's kitchen, Nami's map room, Chopper's infirmary, Robin's library, Franky's workshop, an aquarium bar, and a crow's nest training room for Zoro. Bright, colorful, and absurdly well-designed for a pirate ship.
