Loguetown

Location from One Piece by Eiichiro Oda

The Town of the Beginning and the End — where Gol D. Roger was born and where he was executed. The last stop in East Blue before the Grand Line. Where Luffy almost died on the same scaffold and smiled.

Loguetown exists in the shadow of a single moment: Roger's execution. Twenty-two years ago, the Pirate King knelt on that scaffold and told the world his treasure existed — launching the Great Pirate Era with his dying breath. The town has been defined by that event ever since: it's the last supply port before Reverse Mountain, making it the gateway where pirates either commit to the Grand Line or turn back. Smoker was stationed here, the first Marine to seriously challenge Luffy. When Buggy captured Luffy and forced him onto Roger's execution platform, lightning struck the scaffold at the exact moment the blade fell — saving Luffy's life in a moment that made Dragon smile and Smoker question everything he believed about fate. Luffy left Loguetown grinning, heading for the Grand Line. Just like Roger.

Appearance

A busy port town with a large central square dominated by the execution platform where Roger died. Market streets radiate outward from the plaza, selling supplies for Grand Line-bound crews. A Marine base occupies one end of town. The execution scaffold is weathered wood and iron, preserved as both landmark and warning. Rain falls heavily on Loguetown — it was raining when Roger died, and it was raining when Luffy stood on that same scaffold with a blade at his neck.
