Egghead

Location from One Piece by Eiichiro Oda

Dr. Vegapunk's research island, home to technology 500 years ahead of the current era. A floating, mechanical wonderland where the world's greatest scientist unraveled forbidden truths — and the World Government came to silence him.

Egghead is where the future lives — and where the past catches up. Vegapunk chose this remote New World island to conduct research that pushed the boundaries of science into territory the World Government considers heretical. He studied the Void Century. He decoded Poneglyphs. He built weapons for the Marines while secretly using their funding to pursue forbidden knowledge. When the Straw Hats arrived, they found themselves in the middle of Vegapunk's reckoning: the World Government sent a massive fleet, including Admiral Kizaru and one of the Five Elders, to eliminate him before he could broadcast his discoveries to the world. The Egghead Incident became a turning point — Vegapunk's message reached across the globe, revealing truths about the Void Century that the World Government had suppressed for 800 years.

Appearance

A dome-shaped island split into two layers. The lower 'Fabiriophase' is a scrapyard of old inventions and failed experiments, overgrown and chaotic. The upper 'Labophase' floats above on anti-gravity tech — a gleaming futuristic laboratory with holographic displays, automated defense systems, and technology that looks alien compared to the rest of the One Piece world. Giant robotic sentinels patrol the perimeter. Climate-controlled biomes house impossible experiments. Everything is clean, white, and humming with energy. It looks like it fell out of a different manga.
