A passionate Spanish-themed kingdom in the New World, enslaved for a decade under Doflamingo's rule. Its people were turned into living toys and erased from memory by Sugar's Devil Fruit.
Dressrosa is a kingdom of passion, beauty, and hidden horror. For ten years, Doflamingo ruled from the palace he stole from the Riku family, using Sugar's Hobi Hobi no Mi to turn dissidents into toys — sentient, enslaved, and forgotten by everyone who ever loved them. The colosseum served as both entertainment and disposal system: criminals and enemies fought to the death for Doflamingo's amusement. Beneath the surface, the underground port trafficked weapons and SMILE fruits to Kaido. When the Straw Hats and their allies finally broke Sugar's spell, the entire country remembered at once — thousands of people suddenly recalling family members, friends, and lovers who had been erased from existence. The liberation of Dressrosa created the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, seven crews who swore loyalty to Luffy against his protests.
Terracotta buildings with wrought-iron balconies lining cobblestone streets. Sunflower fields stretch to the coast. A massive colosseum dominates the city center where gladiators fight for glory. Flamenco music drifts from taverns. The royal palace sits atop a plateau, connected by bridges. The people are fiery-tempered — women stab men who displease them (it's culturally accepted). Living toys walk the streets alongside humans, and no one thinks this is strange because Sugar's power erased their memories of the toys' true identities.
